Hack or Slash is a horror movie review podcast dedicated to telling you whether a particular movie is a hack (a total joke, a waste of time) or a slash (totally killer, pun intended).
We believe that horror is for everyone, and that's proven by the composition of our team. Our cast is a reflection of some of the most common archetypes among fans -- the horror movie buff, the one who sees it all logically, the one who’s afraid of inanimate objects, the one who loves gore, and the one who can challenge everyone's opinions. We've found that wildly different perspectives exist between all of us, and we embrace those differences in each episode.
Our goal is to review every horror movie out there. This may sound like a daunting task, but it's one we're committed to. #NoBigDeal
While we don't break each film down scene by scene, we do tackle the big questions often posed when discussing and measuring how successful a horror movie is. We discuss the effectiveness of its scares, the originality of its antagonist, and the richness of its character development.
